Four injured in separate road accidents

AMMAN — Two people were injured on Tuesday when their truck overturned in the Jordan Valley, a statement from the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said. The accident caused the loading box to detach from the truck’s body and the tyres to catch fire. CDD personnel extinguished the fire, administered first aid to the injured and took them to Prince Zeid Hospital, where they were reported to be in fair condition.
In Zarqa, two people were injured when a speeding vehicle hit their vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road. The two were taken to Zarqa Public Hospital, where they were reported to be in fair condition, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted a CDD source as saying. Security agencies are currently investigating the incident, Petra reported.
