AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Wednesday warned against some people who impersonate municipality employees and ask citizens for money to rectify construction violations.
GAM’s construction monitoring department stressed that fines are issued through warnings and removal warrants, adding that rectifications are executed by GAM area offices, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The municipality called on citizens to ask employees for their work ID cards, highlighting that GAM does not receive money in the field, but at financial departments at its area offices or at its headquarters in Ras Al Ain.
