Global Entrepreneurship Week concludes

AMMAN — Under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), the 12th Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 (GEW) concluded on Monday.

The events were organised by the Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship (QRCE), in partnership with the EU, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Princess Sumaya, in a speech delivered by the PSUT President Mashour Rifai, lauded the annual event, highlighting the importance of its aspects.

The princess also called for joint action to overcome the exceptional global circumstances associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, which have changed lives and habits and led to reordering priorities.

The princess called for empowering young people through innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as turning challenges into opportunities with “tangible” economic and social impacts. She also expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, partners and the supporters of QRCE Award, and congratulated the winners.

The GEW is considered a global event that celebrates entrepreneurs and start-up owners as well as boosts economic growth, Petra reported.
