AMMAN — Planning and International Cooperation Minister Nasser Shraideh on Tuesday stressed the government's keenness to consult various industrial sectors regarding the 2022 draft law on the organisation of the investment environment, prior to reaching its final version.
Shraideh, during a meeting at the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), said that the final version of the law will be published on the website of the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to allow interested people to share their comments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
An ACI statement said that the draft law lacks mechanisms to attract investment projects, which are important for local and foreign investors alike.
ACI President Fathi Jaghbir said that the chamber had its own remarks on the bill that were referred to the government's economic team, yet it preferred to allow industrial companies to review these remarks directly from the team.
