AMMAN — The Jordanian government and Zain Company on Monday signed an agreement on Monday to launch an entrepreneurship development initiative that aims to provide at least 52 new jobs for Jordanian youth across the Kingdom.
The agreement stipulates establishing four call centres that will be hosted by the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), including two centres in Salt and the Jordan Valley as part of the first stage in 2022 and two others in Irbid’s Al Koura district and Madaba in the second stage in 2023, according to a Planning Ministry statement.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh, who signed the agreement with Labour Minister and VTC Chairman Nayef Istitieh and Zain Jordan CEO Fahd Jassem, stated that the initiative is in implementation of the Royal directives to address the unemployment rates among youth.
Jassem expressed the company’s keenness to sustain partnership and cooperation with the public sector and serving local communities.
