AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Sunday dispatched a medical aid convoy to the West Bank in coordination with the Palestinian embassy in Amman. The assistance was donated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, the Indian government and the private Jordanian medical sector, according to a JHCO statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

JHCO said that the two-truck convoy was laden with medical equipment and medicines to be delivered to the Palestinian health ministry to help it during the current conditions.

JHCO Secretary General Ayman Mifleh said that the organisation is continuing coordination with all the concerned parties to secure the basic needs for the Palestinian health ministry. First secretary at the Palestinian embassy in Amman Bassam Hijjawi expressed appreciation for the government's gesture and commended the role of the JHCO in facilitating the delivery of the assistance.
