Hawari takes part in Council of Arab Health Ministers’ meeting in Geneva

AMMAN — Health Minister Firas Al Hawari participated in the 59th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health. The meeting was held in conjunction with the 76th session of the General Assembly of the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The topics discussed at the meeting, chaired by Algeria, included health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to a ministry statement on Sunday.

The Council of Arab Ministers of Health also discussed organising an Arab-German international conference and exhibition for pharmaceutical industries and medical supplies in Bahrain. The meeting also covered coordination on issues pertaining to women and children's health in the Arab region.  Jordan's Permanent Representative in Geneva, Ambassador Walid Obeidat attended the meeting.
