Higher education minister launches unified website for foreign students

AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Adel Tweisi on Sunday launched the unified e-services website, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The website aims at introducing foreign students to the study options in the Kingdom as well as the cultural, health, touristic and living aspects.

Students can apply to the Kingdom’s various universities and receive a preliminary admission within three days through the wesite, according to Petra.

Arab cultural attachés in the Kingdom, who attended the launching ceremony, expressed their admiration of Jordan’s advanced level in the field of higher education and the ministry’s services to facilitate procedures for foreign students and its efforts to overcome difficulties that face them.

During the meeting, a wide discussion was conducted on the level of Jordanian higher education institutions and the progress achieved by some Jordanian universities on international rankings.

The number of foreign students in Jordanian universities reached 44,688 students, who are studying in all academic disciplines.
