AMMAN — The Highway Patrol Department (HPD) on Monday launched a campaign on road accidents under an initiative dubbed “Do not limit your mobility.”
The three-day campaign is organised with the participation of people who have been caused disabilities from such accidents.
Initiative Spokesperson Captain Mazen Jaradat said the initiative is part of the Public Security Department’s strategy and HPD’s role in limiting road accidents and reducing the human and financial losses that negatively affect society.
Jaradat, who is also head of the media centre at HPD, noted that the campaign would cover the desert highway linking Amman and Aqaba where patrol teams, along with disabled people, will give speeding drivers brochures during the awareness campaign instead of tickets.
