House speaker receives cables of condolences

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Thursday received several cables of condolences from international and regional counterparts.
In the cables, the parliamentarians expressed their condolences to Tarawneh and the Jordanian people over the death of Jordanian pilot Muath Kasasbeh at the hands of the so-called Islamic State terrorist group.
They strongly denounced “the barbaric and vicious crime” that is in violation of all religions and conventions on human rights.
They stressed their support for Jordan in confronting all forms of terrorism.
