‘House speaker supports larger role for women in decision making’

AMMAN — Several women have requested that female representation be enlarged in the draft municipalities and decentralisation laws in a petition they handed to Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday.
During an iftar banquet held by the Civil Coalition for Monitoring Elections and the Performance of Elected Councils (Rased), Tarawneh said he supports the petition and the enhancement of women’s participation in decision making.
