Hussein Fund for Excellence announces winners of Economic Research Awards

AMMAN — The Hussein Fund for Excellence (HFE) on Wednesday announced the winners of the second edition of the Economic Research Awards for 2022. 

The award, launched in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), aims to support and stimulate applied research in macroeconomics, finance and banking, and sustainable development. 

It also aims to bridge the gap between economists in Jordanian universities, the CBJ and decision-making circles, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. 

The award focuses on four main fields: Monetary policy, public finance, finance and banking, and economic growth. 

The 12 awards in the four fields were distributed among three categories: Research, doctoral dissertations and master's theses. 

A total of 128 works competed for the awards, including 74 research papers, 20 doctoral dissertations and 34 master's theses.
