AMMAN — The International Labour Organisation (ILO) on Sunday organised a training workshop on green employment intensive projects, funded by the Italian foreign ministry represented by the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The workshop comes as a result of the partnerships that support the Ministry of Local Administration in developing and refining skills, enhancing the reality of targeted municipalities, and obtaining knowledge on successful leadership and the use of modern methods.
The five-day workshop included 25 engineers from the Ministry of Local Administration, focusing on municipalities in communities hosting Syrian refugees in the governorates of Irbid and Mafraq.
In turn, ILO Project Manager Aya Kasasbeh said that the coordination between the ILO and the Ministry of Local Administration through the Solid Waste Management Unit has yielded positive results that will lead to achieving desired goals.
