AMMAN — The Income and Sales Tax Department on Tuesday announced it will receive payments over JD5,000 only through e-FAWATEERcom as of the second half of the month.
Department Spokesperson Mousa Tarawneh said that the measure is in accordance with amended regulations regarding the payment of income and sales taxes, which were issued in the 5464 issue of the Official Gazette on June 1, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The department called on taxpayers to use the electronic service, which enables them to inquire about amounts due and allows them to pay any financial dues in an “easy and safe way” that “saves them time and effort”, Petra added.
