AMMAN — On the occasion of the Kingdom's 70th Independence Day, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) on Wednesday made the world's largest mosaic painting of cakes, breaking a Guinness record, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The 187-square-metre painting was made of 18,756 cakes, Petra said, adding that it was prepared by 150 teachers, students and employees of RACA.
Last year, as the Kingdom was celebrating its 69th Independence Day, 3,000 public and private school students created the world’s largest origami mosaic in the shape of the Jordanian flag, at a length of 43 metres and a width of 24 metres.
They used a total of 250,000 origami pieces of peace doves.
At 1,032 square metres, the mosaic broke the record previously held by Anan Kids Academy in India, where an origami mosaic measuring 910.94 square metres was created using 60,008 origami folding.
