AMMAN — The self-employment programme “Inhad” on Thursday began holding workshops for 2,671 people. The programme’s training activities started in Irbid and Zarqa, followed by Karak, Madaba, Tafileh and Maan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Inhad provides a “complete chain of services”, starting with training and rehabilitation and moving to feasibility studies and cooperation with commercial and Islamic banks. The programme also provides guidance and counselling services to enable youth to form small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The launching of the programme was inspired by His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision for fighting unemployment through self-employment and starting enterprises in various sectors. The launch was based on several recent meetings His Majesty held with young entrepreneurs.
