Investment minister, Greek ambassador discuss investment opportunities

AMMAN — Minister of Investment Khouloud Saqqaf and Greek Ambassador to Jordan Irene Riga on Thursday discussed strategies to increase investment between the two countries. 

During the meeting, Saqqaf highlighted the investment opportunities available to Greek companies in Jordan and highlighted the Kingdom's favourable investment climate, which includes competitive regulations, a highly skilled workforce and numerous free trade agreements that have given Jordanian products access to a market of more than 1.5 billion consumers.

According to a Ministry of Investment's statement, Saqqaf also highlighted the benefits of Jordan's investment environment law and the investment opportunities listed on the "Invest in Jordan" platform. 

She reiterated the ministry's support to Greek companies by addressing challenges and providing ongoing assistance to ensure successful investments.

Acknowledging the strong economic and trade ties between Greece and Jordan, the diplomat suggested that organising visits for Greek business leaders to Jordan would be beneficial in understanding local investment incentives and project development opportunities.
