JBA, Indonesian envoy discuss prospects of cooperation

AMMAN — The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) discussed with the Indonesian Ambassador Andy Rachmianto ways to boost economic cooperation between Indonesia and Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in trade and investment and exchanging economic visits between both countries.

According to the association’s statement, Tabbaa highlighted investment opportunities in Jordan, especially in light of the various free trade agreements Jordan has signed with different countries around the world.

Meanwhile, Rachmianto stressed the interest of Indonesian businessmen to identify the investment climate in Jordan and available economic opportunities to cooperate with the private sector in Jordan.

He added that bilateral ties are on solid foundations. The total trade exchange last year reached JD250 million, while Jordan’s exports to Indonesia amounted to JD129 million, Petra added.
