‘JD17.5 million spent on scientific research in 2008-2016’

AMMAN — A total of JD17,562,570 was spent on scientific research between 2008 and 2016 out of JD22.169 million, Scientific Research Fund Director General Abeer Bawab said on Thursday.
In a symposium organised by the Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Bawab said that the fund supported 325 projects during the period, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
The fund also helped 529 students, 478 of whom were master’s students, as a support to excelling higher education students, she said, noting that the allocated sum amounted to JD6,354,000 of which JD3,350,273 was spent.
