JEA, JRES agree to launch higher national energy committee

AMMAN — The Jordan Engineers Association’s (JEA) Energy Committee and the Jordanian Renewable Energy Society (JRES) on Monday agreed in a meeting to form a higher national committee for energy, and to outline a strategy for the energy sector in Jordan.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, head of the JEA Energy Committee Mahmoud Salameh said that the meeting intended to boost cooperation and coordination between the JEA and the JRES to address the current state of renewable energy in Jordan.
JRES Director Mohammed Al Taani stressed the importance of elevating the sector’s performance to meet national standards.
