AMMAN — Jordan denounced the continuous Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the recent aggression on the city of Jenin that occurred on Monday morning.

A Foreign Ministry statement urged the international community to take an immediate action to stop Israeli attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Sinan Al Majali, underscored the need to halt the persistent incursions into Palestinian cities and ensure their protection against recurring attacks.

The spokesperson stressed that such escalation violates international humanitarian law and Israel's obligations as an occupying power.

He further emphasised that all campaigns against Palestinians must cease immediately.

The ministry warned of the consequences of this ongoing escalation, underscoring that continuing the current situation will only contribute to further deterioration and violence.

Majali reiterated Jordan's firm stance against the attacks and any unilateral measures that undermine efforts towards peace. The spokesperson also stressed the need for prompt and effective action from the international community to halt this aggression and provide protection for Palestinians across the entirety of the occupied Palestinian territories.
