AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday strongly condemned Israel's continued targeting of shelters for displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe due to ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7.

The latest incident involved the targeting of a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp, resulting in the death of 15 people, mostly women and children, and injuring dozens.

The ministry's official spokesperson Sufian Qudah reiterated the Kingdom's absolute condemnation and denunciation of Israel's continued war crimes and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

He said that this reflects a blatant ignorance of international law and all humanitarian and ethical values, as well as a blatant challenge to the international will calling for an end to the war and ensuring the protection of civilians.

He renewed his call for the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take immediate and decisive steps to stop these crimes and provide international protection for Palestinian civilians.

He stressed that international silence encourages Israel to continue committing more crimes and increases the suffering of the Palestinian people.
