AMMAN — Members of the Jordan Economic Forum (JEF) have reviewed the Kingdom's "key" investment opportunities in many economic sectors during a meeting with CEO of Danish Novo Holdings A/S, Kasim Kutay.

Speaking at the meeting, which was held at the JEF headquarters, the forum's members referred to the opportunities outlined in Jordan's cross-governmental Economic Modernisation Vision, which came with Royal support, and in partnership with the private sector, stressing that it details the Kingdom's economic future, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.

JEF members said that Jordan now focuses on entrepreneurship and seeks to attract foreign investments in order to generate jobs for youth, noting that this process requires cooperation between the Kingdom's public and private sectors.

During the event, the forum's members referred to the current economic challenges, especially unemployment, high energy prices, inflation and the increasing cost of living.

Kutay, who is currently visiting the Kingdom, said that Novo Nordisk is a global company operating in the healthcare field that was established some 90 years ago and has headquarters in several countries across the world and seeks to diversify its investments in many sectors, adding that the company is looking forward to investing in Jordan.

Kutay also called on the Kingdom to pay attention to the tourism sector, as many tourist attractions are available, including the multiple civilisations that were established in Jordan, which provide cultural and religious diversity to its archaeological sites.
