Jordan has taken ‘great steps’ in women empowerment — Annab

AMMAN — Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lina Annab has said that Jordan has made “great steps” in the empowerment of Jordanian women, and she pointed out to international conferences held in Jordan to inform the world of the various national tourism advantages, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the International Travel Trade Show Berlin (ITB Berlin), Annab reviewed Jordan’s efforts to empower Jordanian women politically, economically, culturally and socially, pointing out that Jordan is one of the leading countries in the region in empowering women, starting from parliamentary and governmental participation.
On the sidelines of the trade show, the Institute of South Asian Women honoured Annab with the Woman Achiever of the Year Award 2018.
