Jordan least susceptible to business bribery risk in region — TRACE

AMMAN — Jordan has been ranked as the Arab country least susceptible to business bribery, according to the TRACE Bribery Risk Matrix (TRACE Matrix).
The data of the TRACE Matrix showed that Jordan ranked first among Arab countries in this regard, presenting the lowest commercial bribery risk and scoring 65th out of 194 jurisdictions.
Tunisia ranked second at the Arab level and 76th globally, followed by the UAE at third place regionally and 79th globally, Kuwait fourth regionally and 111th globally, Oman fifth regionally and 128th globally. Iraq scored last place regionally, at 12th and 163rd globally.
The TRACE Bribery Risk Matrix (TRACE Matrix) measures business bribery risk in 194 jurisdictions, territories and autonomous and semi-autonomous regions.
The overall country risk score is a combined and weighted score of four domains: Business Interactions with Government; Anti-Bribery Deterrence and Enforcement; Government and Civil Service Transparency; and Capacity for Civil Society Oversight, including the role of the media, according to their website.
