AMMAN — Minister of Environment Muawieh Radaideh on Sunday reiterated the Kingdom's support for the COP-28 Presidency statement. He emphasised Jordan's support for the COP-28 Presidency, and stressed the importance of the “timely and powerful” message it delivers, as it aims to encourage countries to submit updated or new nationally determined contributions by the end of this September.
Jordan is committed to achieving the vision outlined in the message, the minister said, stressing the need for international finance to be provided to developing countries to meet their climate commitments. He added that the content of the message is in line with Jordan's aspirations for the outcome of COP-28, as it represents a flexible action plan with ambitious climate goals, according to a ministry statement.
