Jordan, UK discuss cooperation in construction sector

AMMAN — Public Works Minister Sami Halaseh on Thursday met with UK Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett to discuss bilateral cooperation in the construction sector.

Halaseh highlighted the ministry’s duties in designing and constructing government buildings in the health and education sectors, noting that the National Building Centre is responsible for issuing building codes and engineering standards.

For his part, Millett said several measures will be taken to foster cooperation between Jordan and the UK in the construction sector through expertise exchange.
