Jordan welcomes restoration of Bahraini-Qatari relations

AMMAN — Jordan on Thursday welcomed the agreement to restore diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Qatar, which was reached on Wednesday during the second meeting of the Bahraini-Qatari Follow-up Committee, held at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of this agreement in efforts to enhance cooperation among Arab countries and activate joint Arab action to serve common interests, according to a ministry statement.
Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Majali said that resuming diplomatic relations between the two Gulf countries is a major achievement that boosts Gulf and Arab solidarity, and enhances the ability to meet joint challenges.
