Jordan’s ambassador to Armenia submits credentials

AMMAN — Khaled Shwabkeh on Wednesday submitted his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan as the Kingdom’s extraordinary and non-resident ambassador.
Shwabkeh conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings and wishes of progress and prosperity to the president and Armenian people.
Sargsyan lauded the Jordanian role in maintaining regional security and stability, recognising the importance of the role of the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem’s Islamic and Christian holy sites, and the preservation of the holy city’s legal and historical status quo, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times.
