AMMAN — Jordan Press Association (JPA) on Tuesday condemned targeting a journalist and cameraman by Israeli strike on south of Lebanon. In a statement carried by Jordan News Agency, Petra, the JPA council said that Israel targeting of journalists is a war crime that falls under the genocide that the Israeli occupation is carrying out in Gaza, the West Bank and south of Lebanon. The statement also said that Israeli occupation forces are taking journalists as target in violation of all international laws and conventions that protect journalists in conflict zones. JPA called on the international community to take all measures to hold Israeli leaders accountable before international courts. The JPA also denounced the Israeli crimes against Palestinian journalists, 62 of whom killed in the Israeli air strikes on Gaza, in addition to the arrest of 42 journalists in the West Bank since October 7.
