AMMAN — The Jordan Press Foundation (JPF), which publishes Al Rai and The Jordan Times dailies, is continuing its relief efforts and receiving donations in support of Gaza and Palestine.

The JPF, located on Queen Rania Abdullah Street (formerly University Street), near Mahmoud Al Kayed Square (the Press Tunnel), will send the collected supplies through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.

Shehadeh Abu Baqar, the chairperson of the foundation's board of directors, said that the donations needed for the Gaza relief campaign go beyond food parcels, to include essential items such as blankets, tents, clothing, especially for children, and electric generators due to the difficult circumstances in the Strip.

Due to the favourable response to the campaign, the JPF is considering an extension to accommodate additional contributions, he noted.

Stressing that the campaign does not directly accept cash donations, except for the institution's board of directors and employees who have taken the initiative to donate an amount equivalent to one day's salary to support the campaign, Abu Baqar urged those who wish to donate funds to purchase the above mentioned items.

He said that the donors should receive a written letter from the receiving committee which outlines donations’ contents and quantity.
