AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Tuesday reaffirmed that Jordan will not spare any efforts in its defence of Islamic and Christian sites in East Jerusalem, in line with the Hashemite custodianship of holy sites in the city.
Judeh made the remarks during a meeting with Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Iyad Madani, who briefed him on his recent visit to Al Haram Al Sharif in Jerusalem.
Madani commended Jordan’s efforts in preserving Islamic and Christian holy sites, noting that his visit presented an opportunity to learn firsthand about these efforts and Jordan’s historic role.
