King, Abu Dhabi crown prince discuss efforts to counter COVID-19

AMMAN — Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Wednesday with Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, discussed joint efforts to counter coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

 

King Abdullah and Sheikh Mohamed stressed the importance of maintaining coordination between the two countries on all issues, including the humanitarian and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Royal Court statement.

 

His Majesty expressed appreciation of the UAE for its ongoing support for Jordan, especially in efforts to counter the pandemic, stressing the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples.

 

The King also stressed Jordan’s readiness to provide any assistance needed by the people of the UAE.

 

His Majesty and Sheikh Mohamed exchanged best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the statement said.
