King attends JAF ceremony marking Al Karamah Battle’s 57th anniversary

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, attended on Sunday a ceremony held by JAF to mark the 57th anniversary of Al Karamah Battle.
Upon arrival at the memorial site for the martyrs of Al Karamah Battle, His Majesty, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti and senior officers, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King inspected the Honour Guards, then laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince Feisal, adviser to His Majesty and National Policies Council chairperson; and Prince Rashid, adviser to His Majesty; as well as HH Prince Mired bin Ra’ad, chief royal councillor at the Royal Hashemite Court, and senior officials and officers attended the ceremony.
