King concludes three-stop tour

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah returned home on Thursday after he concluded a working visit to Jakarta, San Francisco and Ottawa.
In Ottawa, the final leg of his tour, King Abdullah met with Canada’s Governor General David Johnston and its Prime Minister Stephen Harper and discussed the latest regional and international developments and ways to strengthen Jordanian-Canadian relations.
During the visit, Canada extended more than $120 million in additional aid to the Kingdom to help it address the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.
The aid is also intended to assist Jordan to improve its border security and military capabilities and strengthen the education and water sectors.
In San Francisco, King Abdullah met with several businessmen and representatives of major US companies where he highlighted Jordan's investment opportunities.
Also, the King was briefed on US developments in the sectors of energy, education, and medicine and information technology.
Earlier in Jakarta, the first leg of his tour, the King delivered an address at the 2015 Asian African Conference where he stressed the importance of Asian-African solidarity for the two continents to help deal with economic challenges and confront the dangers of terrorism.
