King congratulates new German president

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday sent a cable to Frank-Walter Steinmeier, congratulating him on his election as the new president of the Federal Republic of Germany, a Royal Court statement said.
In the cable, the King voiced his interest in boosting bilateral relations and wished Steinmeier and the German people more prosperity.
His Majesty also sent a cable to Donald Tusk, congratulating him on his re-election for presidency of the European Council, expressing keenness on bolstering bilateral relations with the EU.
