King participates in Sun Valley forum

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, participated in the Sun Valley economic forum in the US state of Idaho, attended by American and international political, economic and media leaders, to discuss global political and economic affairs.
On the sidelines of the forum, King Abdullah held a number of meetings with the chief executives of major US and international companies in the sectors of communications, information technology, tourism, transportation and insurance, according to a Royal Court statement.
The meetings covered investment incentives in Jordan, its strategic location and free trade agreements with several countries, and the potential of tapping into the Kingdom’s qualified human resources.
International efforts to address the economic ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic were also discussed, as well as the need to step up cooperation to achieve recovery and jumpstart the global economy.
The annual Sun Valley forum is held annually, with the participation of leading figures from various countries around the world, to address the latest global political and economic developments.
