AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah performed Eid prayer at the Hashmiya Palace Mosque last Monday, the first day of Eid Al Adha, the Muslim feast of the sacrifice marking the end of the pilgrimage season, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King listened to a sermon delivered by Chief Islamic Justice Ahmad Hilayel, in which he highlighted the value of human lives, which, when respected, would lead to establishing security, peace and tranquillity.
Upon his arrival at the mosque, King Abdullah was received by several Royal family members as well as senior officials and officers.
