King receives US Special Operations commander

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with Commander of the US Special Operations Command Gen. Raymond Thomas, who is currently visiting the Kingdom.
Discussions at the meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace, addressed Jordanian-US ties, mainly in the military and training fields, as well as efforts to counter terrorism, according to a Royal Court statement.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat also attended the meeting.
