AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday returned home after concluding a private visit, according to a Royal Court statement.
At the beginning of the month, King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, left for a working visit to the US to attend the Sun Valley Economic Forum in Idaho, ahead of the private visit.
His Majesty deputised Prime Minister Hani Mulki to attend the Arab summit hosted by Mauritania on Monday.
Mulki delivered a speech on behalf of the Monarch, outlining Jordan’s stands on issues of pan-Arab interest, including regional crises, terrorism and Arab League reform, in addition to the Palestinian cause.
On the sidelines of the Sun Valley Forum, His Majesty met with several US and international businesspeople and presidents of leading companies, and discussed with them ways to enhance economic cooperation with the Kingdom.
The King also reviewed means to benefit from opportunities and incentives the Jordanian investment environment provides, as well as the trade agreements connecting the Kingdom with major global markets.
King Abdullah also took part in a dialogue session, run by former US diplomat William Burns, which tackled regional and international issues, the statement added.
