King, Sisi discuss ties over phone

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on Tuesday discussed ways to develop the relations between Jordan and Egypt in various fields, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
During a telephone conversation, the two leaders reviewed the current regional conditions and challenges and ways to deal with them in a manner that serves Arab causes and joint interests, stressing the historic and strategic relations between the two countries.
The King and Sisi also exchanged congratulations over the holy month of Ramadan.
Sisi was elected president last month, and His Majesty was among several Arab leaders who attended the inauguration ceremony.
