AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Commander of the US Marine Corps Forces Central Command Maj. Gen. Carl Mundy III on Thursday discussed means of cooperation in military fields between Jordan and the US.

During the meeting, which was attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, the King and Mundy also reviewed regional and international efforts in the war on terrorism within a holistic strategy, according to a Royal Court statement.

Also on Thursday, Freihat met separately with Mundy and an accompanying delegation over the latest regional and international developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

They also went over means of cooperation and coordination related to issues of joint interest to both countries’ armed forces.
