AMMAN — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) and the National Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition (Najmah) on Monday launched the Food Security Project in Jordan 2022, within the framework of the agreement signed between the two sides last March.

The project, estimated at JD1.4 million, aims to enhance food security in host communities and refugee families outside camps in Jordan.

The project was launched during a ceremony at the Princess Basma Centre for Human Development, in the presence of Counsellor at the Saudi Embassy in Amman, Najmah Vice President, and Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre. The project targets 5,773 families, comprising 28,865 individuals, who will be given cards dedicated to purchasing foodstuffs from the markets of the Military Consumer Corporation in all governorates of the Kingdom for a period of six months.
