Kuwait emir due in Amman Monday

AMMAN — Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah will begin an official visit to Jordan on Monday, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled to hold talks with Sheikh Sabah on bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Saleh Al Duaij on Sunday said that Sheikh Sabah’s visit to the Kingdom highlights the “advanced level” of bilateral relations between Jordan and Kuwait, and both leaders’ efforts to enhance these ties.
The visit is aimed at coordinating efforts towards addressing the latest developments in the region, Duaij told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, adding that talks will also tackle bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern.

His Majesty King Abdullah and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah on Monday held a summit meeting which focused on strengthening “brotherly relations between the two countries in the political, economic and military fields”.
