Lower House Deputy Speaker advocate for two-state solution in meeting with Azerbaijan’s ambassador

AMMAN — First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House Abdulrahim Maayah on Tuesday highlighted the importance of His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to Rwanda, which sends clear humanitarian and political messages to the global community, underscoring that the world will continue to pay a heavy price for its inability to achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution. During a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov, the two sides stressed the importance of supporting King Abdullah's positions and efforts to stop the aggression against the Palestinians. They stressed the need to mobilise international efforts to create a political horizon that ensures the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and legitimate international resolutions. Discussion also covered bilateral relations and strategies for enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially parliamentary relations, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
