LTRC announces amended fares for transporting goods

AMMAN — The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) on Tuesday announced that it amended the transport rates of goods in accordance with the commission’s guiding regulations that are similar to those issued and accredited by the Industry and Trade Ministry.
The LTRC said that the new list adds JD1.5 for each tonne of phosphate, potash and sulfur, in addition to increasing the price of transporting containers to JD500 up from JD448 for containers weighing up to 25 tonnes and transported on the Amman-Aqaba highway, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The commission stressed that the new rates will be subject to fluctuations in fuel prices as of January 2023, noting that the new prices come into effect as of Wednesday.
