Magistrates Court holds first hearing on Luweibdeh building collapse case

AMMAN — The Amman Magistrates Court on Sunday held its first hearing on the Jabal Luweibdeh building collapse case, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The court heard the testimonies of several Public Prosecution witnesses as well as the families of victims and those who were injured as a result of the collapse.
Three defendants, currently detained in Marka Rehabilitation Centre, pleaded not guilty after hearing the charges pressed against them. The residential building collapsed in Jabal Luweibdeh in Amman on September 14, resulting in 14 deaths and 10 injuries.
