New PSD section to deal with cybercrimes against children

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi on Tuesday inaugurated a section to deal with cases involving children who were sexually abused through the Internet within the PSD’s Family Protection Department.

British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden and UNICEF Representative to Jordan Robert Jenkins attended the inauguration, a PSD statement said. Saudi thanked the UK government and UNICEF for their support and contribution to opening the section and to training its human resources, in addition to supplying it with the needed technical tools.
