Parliament urges lawmakers around world to recognise Palestine

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Monday met with Palestinian National Council (PNC) Chairman Salim Zanoun and an accompanying delegation.
Tarawneh reviewed Jordanian-Palestinian relations, especially at the parliamentary level.
He noted that the Lower and Upper Houses of Parliament signed a joint statement on Monday urging international parliaments to recognise the state of Palestine, and thanking those which have already done so.
Zanoun also expressed his solidarity with Jordan over the capture of air force pilot Muath Kasasbeh.
