AMMAN — A meeting between Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and industrialists slated for Sunday to discuss the effect of increasing electricity prices on the industrial sector was cancelled, a member of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) said.
Voicing disappointment over Ensour’s inability to meet with sector representatives to discuss the issue, ACI board member Fathi Jaghbir told The Jordan Times over the phone that no other date was set to hold the meeting.
The prime minister had a busy schedule on Sunday, including meetings with his Palestinian counterpart and with chief editors of local dailies, which prevented him from meeting with industrialists.
